We are growing fast and looking for enthusiastic people to grow with us! Right now, we are hiring a Mid Level Purchasing Agent at our Southington, CT headquarters, someone who is ready to be part of a fun, tight-knit team and make a real impact every day.

In this role, you will play a key part and touch on all aspects of our supply chain, source products in the US and internationally, manage inventory and ensure smooth, on-time production. You will collaborate closely with purchasing and planning teams and report directly to our Director of Purchasing. If you are a mid to senior-level candidate with a sharp eye for detail and a drive to grow, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify and onboard new, reliable suppliers in the US and countries around the world.
2. Negotiate prices, contracts, and request cost proposals with new and current suppliers in the US and countries around the world.
3. Coordinate production with factories.
4. Cost out items for quoting
5. Logistics - coordinate filling and shipping of containers.
6. Communicate with sales team members to review customer needs.
7. Field questions from and distribute information to customer facing departments about inventory and order status.
8. Administrative tasks and data entry.
9. Assist Purchasing team-members as needed.
10. Liaison amongst departments to facilitate order flow.
11. Back-up Purchasing Team members.
12. Identify opportunities to develop efficient protocols.

Requirements:

1. Must possess excellent communication skills. Customer service experience a plus.
2. Must be very organized with attention to detail.
3. Must have a positive attitude and a desire to grow.
4. Must have MS Office suite proficiency. Sage / Mas100 computer experience a plus.
5. Knowing how to speak Mandarin is a plus.
6. Lastly, must possess a sense of humor!
