Sales Support

Do you have exceptional Customer Service Skills?

Are you a team-player who is willing to learn what needs to be done and get it done?

Progressive Specialty Glass Company, a leading supplier of customized take-home souvenir glassware, is searching for a highly motivated Sales Support Representative for their company headquarters in Plainville, CT. Progressive’s Sales Support team is responsible for managing essential steps and processes resulting in shipping our souvenir glassware into our customer’s establishments throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the Sales Team, Customer and Internal Departments.
  • Interact with the Sales Team to ensure order accuracy and timely shipment of orders.
  • Handle incoming requests from Customers.
  • Ensure issues are resolved professionally, promptly, thoroughly.
  • Track Customer invoices including: payment, identify and follow-up on delinquent accounts, notify/update the department manager on problem accounts.
  • Logistics experience preferred but not required.
  • Provide back-up support when other team members are out of the office.
  • Generate reports as requested.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to think outside of the box, offering solutions to save time and increase productivity.
  • Desire to cross-train and advance skillset/knowledge within the department.
  • Must possess a pleasant, patient and friendly demeanor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail orientated with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Previous MAS 200 experience preferred, but not required for right candidate.
  • MS Office 365 knowledge including: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must have prior experience with trucking companies.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.

Purchasing Job Description

Progressive Specialty Glass Company, a leading supplier of customized take-home souvenir glassware, with consistent growth, since 1977, has an immediate need for an Associate Buyer. Associate Buyer

The Associate Buyer position is critical to the supply chain department and is an immediate need. The Associate Buyer is responsible for planning and purchasing components, escalation of missing parts as well as planning and controlling components for multi-location manufacturing facilities. This position reports directly into the Purchasing and Planning Manager and surrounds all facets of production planning and purchasing.

The primary responsibilities of the position are as follows:

·         -Set up new item codes in the SAGE 100 business system.

·         -Source new items/parts and create requests for quotes.

·         -Create BOM & Routings

·         -Plan, schedule and release production/purchase orders for requirements driven by make-to-order and make-to-stock sales requirements using SAGE business system.

·         -Place, manage and process all required production orders and purchase orders. A Planner processes orders to fulfill customer and inventory requirements

·         -Review purchase order confirmations

·         -Resolve problems related to quality, production and/or purchasing and answer questions related to the process

·         -Reschedule planned material according to changes.

·         -Responsible for inventory

·         -Document all part shortages and parts requiring schedule changes from suppliers

·         -Assist in general administrative duties

·         -Interface and coordinate with factories, customers, sales and finance.

·         -Coordinate master schedules between factories and warehouse for proper schedule and allocation of the parts.

·         -Facilitate international shipments from USA to the service site, coordinate logistics, and drive resolution on logistics/customs issues.

·         -Resolve invoice discrepancies with cost and quantity.

Desired Skills and Education:

·         -SAGE 100 business system platform

·         -APICS Certification

·         -Strong oral and written communication skills

·         -Strong interpersonal skills

·         -Ability to work independently and in a team environment

·         -Strong problem-solving skills

·         -Knowledge of ERP system

·         -Knowledge of production and inventory management is preferred

·         -PC Proficiency a MUST - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years planning & purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; lean manufacturing knowledge helpful; MRP knowledge and prior experience a must; intermediate excel skills; strong communication and negotiation skills; working knowledge of SAGE 100 system.
