IT Technical Operations Specialist 

Progressive Specialty Glass Company, a leading supplier of customized take-home souvenir glassware, with consistent growth, since 1977, has an immediate need for an IT Specialist. In this position you will oversee the technology needs of our Connecticut headquarters and our two out of state manufacturing facilities located in Nevada and Pennsylvania, as well as providing remote support to our nationwide sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Central point of contact for all IT needs, including: projects, upgrades, technical documents and issue resolution.
  • Provide desk side and remote user support.
  • Manage Sage 100 project list with our Sage programming consultants.
  • Become onsite expert and internal training resource for Office 365, Sage 100 & ACT! software.
  • Provide vital IT recommendations, cost saving strategies and future strategic initiatives.
  • Work with our external server and hardware vendors to install, maintain and support network environment including: hardware, software and communication links to avoid unscheduled downtime across platforms.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in LAN networking environment.
  • Security administration and best practices: enterprise network troubleshooting.
  • Experience in virtual environment (Hyper-V).
  • Office 365 experience & MS Exchange Server migration.
  • Experience working within SQL environment.
  • Knowledge of Sage 100 ERP or other similar ERP product.
  • Hands on experience with MS Office tools.
  • Positive approach to solving IT related issues, strong customer service skills
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with the ability to follow-up/resolve issues in a timely manner.

Additional:

  • Knowledge in Visual Studio desired.

Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field or equivalent.

Regional Sales Manager (New York & New England) 

Progressive Specialty Glass Company, Inc., a leading supplier and manufacturer of customized souvenir drinking containers since 1977, has a need for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team. 

We are currently looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager in a multi-state capacity, serving New England and New York, to contribute to our company’s sales objectives. Your responsibilities will include building and growing the sales team as well as long-term client relationships. 

We will rely on your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Communication and team management skills are also essential for this position. Ultimately, you will aspire to develop and maintain successful relationships with current and new customers. 


Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and ensure its timely implementation
  • Lead and develop the regional sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Negotiate and close agreements with customers
  • Monitor and analyze performance objectives and suggest improvements
  • Refine and manage compensation plans and contests.
  • Recruit and train sales staff for effective sales growth
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with client’s needs
     

Requirements: 

  • Five or more years of proven successful work experience with a team of at least 10 members
  • Experience in Food, Beverage or Hospitality industry required.
  • Must be willing to travel on a regular basis within the assigned region including overnight stays
  • Demonstrated experience managing and retaining a high-performance sales team
  • Ability to multi-task and still produce results
  • Visionary individual
  • Administer sales lead management software such as GoldMine or SalesForce
  • Solid customer service attitude
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and team management skills 
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude

This is a full-time position that offers a very industry competitive six figure salary plus commissions with an excellent benefit package including, health, vacation, company paid life insurance policy and 401k with company match.
