Sales Support Representative

Progressive Specialty Glass Company, a leading supplier of customized take-home souvenir glassware, is searching for a highly motivated Sales Support Representative for their company headquarters in Plainville, CT. 

Progressive’s Sales Support team is responsible for managing essential steps and processes resulting in shipping our souvenir glassware into our customer’s establishments throughout the U.S. 

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between the sales team, customer and internal departments
  • Interact with the sales team to insure order accuracy and timely shipment of orders
  • Handle incoming requests from customers and ensure issues are resolved professionally, promptly, thoroughly and in a timely manner
  • Track customer invoices including: payment, identify and follow-up on delinquent accounts, notify/update the department manager on problem accounts
  • Provide back-up support when other team members are out of the office
  • Generate reports as requested

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to think outside of the box, offering solutions to save time and increase productivity
  • Desire to cross-train and advance skill set/knowledge, within the department
  • Must possess a pleasant, patient and friendly demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be detail orientated with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment is essential
  • Previous MAS 200 experience preferred
  • Excellent computer/software skills including: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Prior experience with trucking companies preferred
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality, willing to back up and support other team members as needed

Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales would be responsible for hiring, overseeing and developing our sales associates, in multiple states. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 or more year’s success in managing at least a total of 20 plus outside Sales Representatives/District Managers/Regional Managers; along with demonstrated leadership skills and an in-depth understanding of the Food, Beverage and Hospitality industries.

 Qualifications:

  • Current/previous experience selling customized products.
  • Creative mindset to help develop our product line.
  • Sales management experience in the Food, Beverage or Hospitality industry preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite, as well as sales software such as: GoldMine or SalesForce.
  • Is able to develop new sales strategies based upon experience.
  • Must be available to travel nationwide and internationally.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or related field preferred.

 Responsibilities:

  • Assess demand for sales personnel, present and future. Develop existing sales force, attract, train and retain additional sales team members.
  • Establish a training and development program to help on board new sales team members, as well as enhance performance of our sales team.
  • Manage monthly and annual sales objectives. Analyze sales data in order to identify strengths and weaknesses of a particular product. Prepare sales forecasts on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
  • Set goals, direction and objectives of the sales team.
  • Review performance of individual sales representatives and provide ongoing development.
  • Spend a significant portion of time in the field both with individual accounts and traveling with the sales team.
